Geocacher of the Year
Some local geocachers have been known to go above and beyond the call of their geocaching duties and we celebrate them. Each year the group considers a geocacher and what they have done for the community. They write down the nominations and then a secret vote is held. The previous year's winner is then responsible for making the trackable trophy to be passed on to the new winner.
2016

2014
In 2014 we gave out two awards on May 12, 2014 at the RCGeocachers May Meet & Greet event. The first one was presented to OGFA Team for their challenging caches giving cachers a much needed variety of D/T combos and creative containers.
The second award was given as an honorary award to Team Stevecat for all the work they've done in the surrounding areas that has brought many cachers to Ridgecrest after they did PTA or the Marine Corp Geo Art
2013
The second award was given out on May 10, 2013 at the RC Geocachers Meet & Greet & Eat (2013-05-10) @PF event and was presented to catsimmie for all of the events she had created and other various group tasks.
2012
The first award was given out on April 14, 2012 at the RC Geocachers' 2nd annual WildGeo (4-14 & 4-15) event and was presented to this2shalpas for her work with the BHS Geocaching Club creating the Rails to Trails series.

Nominations are open as of October 20, 2016 through November 20, 2016. Voting will begin on November 21st through December 21st. Winner will be announced at the January Meet & Greet event (https://coord.info/GC6VC0D)
